the other side of anxiety
What if we reframed anxiety into hyper-vigilance? Would that help us monitor our current state, change the demands on our nervous system and bring us more consistently to safety?
What if we recognised that burnout and/or depression is often a highly probabilistic destination from extended periods of hyper-vigilance?
And, what if, when arriving at that point of breakdown, we recognised we likely placed our hand up (consciously and subconsciously) to our village countless times, so the lost trust and hope is born from social defeat, not a deficit of our identity?
These are some of the lines of inquiry we explore in episode 3 of the podcast entitled The Other Side of Anxiety. Available to listen/watch today on:

If this Somatic (body-led) approach to our healing is something you would like to dive deeper into, I’m broadening the current 1-to-1 offering over the next couple of months.
What this has developed into for the current cohort are 90-minute sessions 1-2 times per month.
If that sounds interesting, you can read more on the 1-to-1 tab on the homepage (link below).
This continues our project in self-directed healing, broadening and deepening the toolkit at the same time. As long-time readers will be aware, there is a garage being built on this platform to meet where you are today:
Monday Meditation is a highly accessible opportunity for upskilling in downregulation.
The podcast provides a wider discussion and case study approach to our theoretical underpinnings.
The monthly(ish) long reads are best suited for those with a deep interest in understanding the human experience and how we as a society have been successful or unsuccessful in meeting times of disorganised states.
Anyway, I’ll leave it there for today. Sam and Sally say neigh from country New South Wales.
To your healing 💙,
