010: “a father finally had the incentive to be involved, from set & forget, to connect and protect”
Greetings
I hope your weekend was restful, and if not, I hope to come bearing tools to help you help your body return to rest.
This week, we continue to break down the father gap. Starting with why Dad was even called upon to be evolutionarily required in child rearing, and what key associations he now has as a non-negotiable role in supporting our development.

No surprises, this discussion is based on the recently released book:
The Father Gap: On the Sacred Role of Confident Separation
Available now (Kindle & paperback) exclusively from Amazon: Australia, United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Japan, Canada,
I’m pleased to also celebrate another milestone in writing the second book, which will form the hub from which the spokes, such as the Father Gap and Mother Gap etc., will emerge. Its goal is to provide a roadmap for self-directed Somatic-based healing.
I’ve got the rough structure in place, including all references, diagrams, and approximately 45,000 words. Now to fine-tune and fill in the gaps. I had a rather coincidental encounter with a blue-tongued lizard in the backyard while discussing our lizard-like freeze response over the weekend, which felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
Talking about meeting ourselves where we are. As we continue to scale up our relationship with our mindfulness practice, this week’s Monday meditation provided a beginner’s on-ramp to the mantra as a vehicle to rest and altered states of consciousness. If that's appropriate for where you are, I’ve included a link below:
Wishing you a great start to the week.
To your healing 💙,
