Grab the cardigan, if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, it feels like that is all the summer will be getting this year. How quickly time flies. That being the case, let’s get straight into it. Here’s the most-shared media from the past week, excerpts from programs 1 and 2 in the Somatic Academy:

1. The biggest hit was cortisol levels in mum’s breast milk predicting fear responses of 2-month-old infants. This is actually an excerpt from program 3, which is likely going to be either extremely liberating or extremely offensive. It will depend on our software installation. Paper after paper will reveal that we are simply a mirror unto our parents, as they were to their parents, and the generational chain keeps going all the way until we are standing in front of a monkey, which is why we remind ourselves: It’s not a blame game. If we try that, we will be decked by a monkey, because it's physically stronger than us, no matter the intellectual arguments we may hold. What we are trying to understand is the human condition, specifically relating to ADHD and autism, and those conditions are strongly correlated with adverse early life experiences. We look and say, well, if I have the diagnosis, that may mean that my parents weren’t able to provide the necessary investment in my human manufacturing, even if they did their best. That is human history. The difference today is we have decided on refusing to adopt ourselves, and instead blaming any random person, and being entirely unhinged until we bring about changes in their behaviour for momentary homeostasis (despite our underdevelopment). This, of course, is why we are devolving. We can look at it from brain sizes. Exam grades. Aggressiveness. It’s all basically the same. The frontal regions that developed last and are a product of safety are atrophying. It doesn’t have to be like that. However, it won’t change until we reorient our highest expression to the next generation. Fairness viewed intergenerationally. All generations to come. Not to celebrate a few today who will be dead in half a century, that we’ve sliced up for some subjective pretty picture that signals our apparent virtue.

   

2. Continuing along the same theme, we find that when mothers provide emotional support to their daughters, oxytocin comes in only with in-person and voice (phone call), but not with text. In fact, text provided a cortisol bump slightly higher than no support at all. We expand past simply mother-daughter, quarantine our village interactions, and get pretty good insight into some of the ‘load’ we are all carrying in our nervous system.

   

3. Lastly, we look at the cortisol curve. In trauma, cortisol tends to be blunted in the morning, and elevated at night. The same pattern occurs when we ask adults whether they report high or low levels of parental care as a child. With high levels, there is an energy boost in the morning and a clearance that provides room for melatonin at night. With low levels, there is morning fatigue and evening rumination and insomnia. ADHD and autism look like trauma and low parental care, as they always do. We aren’t surprised at this because the easiest way to make ADHD and autism is simply to pop a child in an orphanage, and the absence of care does all the work for us. As a species, we have a few decisions to make. Will we decide that the highest exemplar of human pair-bonding is non-heterosexual relationships? Place a flag in classrooms? Pat ourselves on the back for another virtue signal? Or will we wake up and recognise that a significant portion of the software operating in Western societies tells young girls their highest expression is as a widget maker in a corner office, and their biggest threat is a male. While a male’s highest expression is female 2.0, anything else is apparently transactional to female empowerment. All the while, men and women fail to understand they are designed fundamentally differently for the sole purpose of handing over sex specific skillsets to the next generation. Dad’s challenging parenting heavily shapes top-down development, in deficit in ADHD. Mum’s affectionate care shapes bottom-up development, in deficit in both ADHD but particularly autism.

   

As we digest that, let’s evaluate the consequences of living a big fat lie that, as we have covered many times, is extremely profitable for the magic bean mafia, but let’s look at the human cost of that.

For those outside of Australia, I introduce you to Grace Tame. In 2021, she was awarded Australian of the Year. Since then, 35,000 people have signed a petition to strip her of the title. An unprecedented request.

Why? Well, let’s do what always helps us when the fires start to burn our fingertips. We take the alien-in-spaceship perspective. Grace received the award for her efforts in changing legislation surrounding the ability of sexual abuse survivors to speak out publicly. She was seen widely as a positive role model in the niche she practised.

Then, she switched course, not unlike another autistic advocate, Greta. The threats of our imminent planetary demise appear not to keep Greta up anymore, and her hyperfixation, as many would be aware, has been on the in-group with Gaza activists. This was the same tent Grace set up shop in, but without international appeal, and €1m from a Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity that Greta banked.

The scarf went on, and the rhetoric ramped up. You can look up yourself how far it went, and how far it ruined her reputation as an advocate for sexual abuse survivors. Suffice it to say, her podcast has been cancelled, and speaking engagements have now dried up. She has blamed this on a smear campaign.

Were there any signs of this? Could this have been prevented? Yes, and yes.

You see, Grace is a product of our modern worldview.

She has received her autism diagnosis, neurodiversity membership card and life operating manual:

• Everyone else = enemy.

• Homeostasis = changing everyone else.

Shockingly for our times, and blatantly obvious to all our great-grandparents: Wisdom doesn't seem to present itself during survival responses. Which is what we are in if we have a diagnosis of ADHD and autism. It doesn’t mean we can’t have good ideas. It means we are more prone to having bad ideas, because we are far more likely to be in a state of distress, and in that state project our inner disturbance to the world, as our body desires real (or imagined) feelings of being seen, heard and held.

But why does that manifest as social issues and not just road rage? Again, our modern world. The movie being played before our eyes is not a nature documentary. It’s not the top 10 greatest human achievements of the day. It could be. That’s up to us. But it tends not to be. Conversation, media and our streets are filled with human folly, and closer to the top 10 most destructive moments of the day. Which is exactly where many people enjoy it to be.

If the government have us only talking about social issues, we won’t talk about the decline in living standards (economic issues).

If big business has us only talking about social issues, we won’t talk about their tax avoidance, or even look at their practices behind the scenes, because they have borrowed social-value goodwill. Look, we are pro-[insert issue], we are next to what you value, we too, must be part of your taste and preferences.

If the media only talk about social issues, then we create news. No one would watch the news if the update was only ‘Life is great, nothing to report today, go enjoy yourself!’

Which means, instead of lunging for human flourishing, which is what those institutions were originally set up to achieve (democracy, economies of scale and free speech), they are used to throw us around like a rubber ducky in a bathtub.

But not everyone. If you are securely attached with sovereignty over your body, you only want the government to fix your potholes, roll out hospital beds and stay out of your life. You only want business to provide high-quality goods and services. You only want the media to ‘keep the bastards honest’ as we say in Australia. When you see they are trying to rule over (not for), make you a docile consumer, and present fake good versus evil battles, you walk outside, place your feet in the dirt, do your breathwork, and catch up with friends and family, and then vote the bastards out at the next election.

However, if we have been told that we don’t need to do breathwork, and our insecure attachment is other people’s fault, we may be looking for a sense of power to repair our obvious discomfort. Which makes identifying as neurodivergent one of the most predictable voting blocs.

From that position on the ideological continuum, it’s all about social issues. If we spoke about economics, there would be no division and no opportunity for Saturday protest, where our attachment and sense of agency have been rediscovered. Our us-versus-them to bond over.

From that position, we build our new in-group. We make sure we absolutely do not look like our parents we are insecurely attached to, nor other members of society we have been told are the problem to our nervous system hyper-arousal. We are different, special, absolutely not normal. A predictable survival response when we feel unseen. A predictable response that accidentally ends up, like all in-grouping does, minimising differences. We are so different we are the same. Photos of recent protestors from different cities around Australia in the last few weeks. Could be almost the same person, or a bad AI image. It’s not. It’s a worldview.

We’ve been here before. After the anti-globalisation protests in the early 2000s that took the pro-globalisation class by shock, it’s been a social (not economic) issue, about every 3 years. We’ve had climate change. We’ve had gender rights. We’ve had veganism.

Picking up the last one, to understand these trends: Who is most likely to eat a vegan, veggie, or low-meat diet? Someone who doesn’t have spiritual beliefs and does have money. Which means physical needs are covered, but spiritual needs are vacant. We are thus more permeable to other people’s ideas on how to make time here meaningful. If you eat vege, it doesn’t mean you’re a wealthy spiritual orphan. If you have an ADHD or autism diagnosis with high symptoms, and eat vege, whilst blaming other people, it does mean your worldview is complicit in your suffering. Meta-analyses reveal non-meat diets elevate IL-6, an inflammatory cytokine that is a major chef in the kitchen for ADHD and autism, one pathway by disrupting glymphatic clearance and ramping up excitatory synapses.

Ok, so rich, non-affiliated and finding friends (and life meaning) under the liberal tent. Anything else? Particularly if we are examining the downfall of Grace Tame? Sure, being a female is a contributory factor. Again, it’s liberating or wildly offensive, depending on your software installation, to understand that females' morals are more mobile than men's. Boys demonstrate higher moral maturity than girls from a very early age. Girls from a very early age demonstrate higher empathetic capabilities than boys. Girls are designed bottom-up. Boys are designed top-down. Boys get their morals from their family. Girls get their morals gradually from social encounters, which is wholly part of their wiring and communion goal seeking. Also useful from a very long history of moving villages.

In such a village, nothing is out of place. Children lose their animal-like immediacy bias (and morality is borne as a by-product) from dad. Children lose their animal-like emotional reactivity (and empathy is borne as a by-product) from mum. In the modern world where we pretend children raise themselves, and there are no sex specific toolkits, we have a generation of children with a highly reactive immediacy focus, held wholly hostage to fabricated battles on their black mirrors.

This has led females to sprint to a social-issue-dominant left to find resolution for previously non-existent concerns, as social media adoption increased. Each social issue was met with more rights. More social issues were required to maintain relevance. Gay marriage took us to gender diversity. The first had popular appeal. The last was compulsively installed in almost all. From those lofty heights, the largest political move in modern Western history is where young females are taught to yell at young males with labels such as far-right, bigot, misogynistic, phobic bla bla bla. Resulting in over 50% of girls reporting that a boy not even participating in politics is a red flag, while boys don’t care about girls’ political opinion or participation.

This movement, which adherents consider human evolution, is the case not just for young women, but for the entire tent. Many of us will remember pre 2008 political life. Nobody cared. We picked the least worst person on the ticket, and moved on. Now, we have a return of political assassinations, ‘cancel culture,’ and institutions so captured with DEI hires (an incredibly astute move by those seeking sustained power past an election cycle) that they will tell you that the biggest threat outside your door is the stale blob on the ideological map (the threat to power maintenance), that statistically means a married couple, with kids, who attend church, and prefer to affiliate with their country, rather than a political party. While 93% of terrorist attacks in the last 10 years in Europe have been left-wing or Islamist.

But the new blob doesn’t like statistics or science, because if it touches it, it dissolves. That’s how we got gender diversity, which is rapidly dropping from conversation as class actions are finally brought against those complicit in neutering mostly autistic children with half-formed brains and a history of trauma.

So what does that mean? Well, if you are a student in US colleges, you shut your mouth. The tent of ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ only likes conversation that toes the party line. Opposite sex hormones ramp up glutamate, drop BDNF, and disrupt the GABA switch. All associated with suicidal ideation. Which is why longitudinal studies report both elevated suicidal attempts and completers, as we reported in a previous newsletter.

What happens if young girls didn’t get caught in this ideological-science-hating-hurricane? On average, they are less depressed.

They are, on average, less lonely.

Makes sense. If your entire worldview is based on believing the world is evil, and emotional homeostasis is gained by changing the behaviour of your enemy, that’s pretty isolating and depressing. The more we run away from everyone, the more our distress rises, and the more likely we are to hold these left-wing attitudes. An uncomfortable conversation for those who consider it human evolution when it's a destination maintained by scarcity, the opposite of how we evolved.

So what do we do? Run as far as we can to the right? No, of course not. That’s the reason why Germany is currently deindustrialising, and its citizens hate themselves more than any country I have ever been to. A family on a backroad, living in a mud-brick home in Bolivia, given absolutely nothing, loves their country more than the average German today.

Why? Because it was assumed that after going so far right, then left (without limit) must be fate. Now a pride flag is on every public building, you can be arrested for a national flag if there is no football game, fertility rates have been below replacement since the 1970s, German culture (that built once one of the most successful civilisations in our species history) is not advertised, instead, minimised, and anything else is celebrated and placed on a hierarchy above it. Doing so has predictably resulted in stabbings, shootings and sexual assault that have never been higher.

The elite’s zeitgeist is so bemused that a Western universalist liberal is not blossoming from the heart of every imported person as soon as their feet touch German soil, sharing such statistics can produce a knock at the door from the police, reenacting (along with the flag wave arrests) what was apparently being guarded against. So what is done? Of course, we do what we always do when we find the truth offensive. We re-narrate it. One of Germany’s most reputable research agencies adjusted the raw data of crime to every new additional entrant per city, town and village, and successfully achieved a negative result.

Yes, defying all logic, according to the findings, more strangers together should result in lower crime. Of course, this is not the case. 33,741 more women were violently sexually assaulted than would have been so based on the 10-year trend before 2015, and there were two gang rapes per day in 2025. What do many Germans do in this moment? ‘How could they have known better’ or ‘Their life must have been hard’, which, again, carries out the crime sought to be avoided: You are assuming someone of the same species is less capable of respecting another person's right to safety than you are. That’s pretty discriminatory if you ask me. So, we ask as usual, how many bodies? How many bodies will we walk over to maintain worldview:

• That humanity is not a fragile elevation above feral.

• That the elevation is not suspended by culture.

• That all culture is the same.

All people can achieve social cohesion. Simply, not all culture seeks social cohesion. But that’s not universalism, so media articles were presented with headlines ‘Migration not linked to crime,’ with a high chance nobody read the cited study that arrived at such a conclusion by suggesting males, without a job, who are young, living in the city, are more likely to commit crimes, so advertising to young girls living in big cities with crowds of military-aged men in the streets are as safe as they always were, is ‘fair.’ An action no different to denying shark attack deaths from people swimming at the beach, because, hey, there are sharks in the ocean. Fathers, mothers, brothers don’t magically walk back through the door of the family home. Perhaps they could have if a preventable ‘Beach Closed’ sign was placed while the threat was resolved.

But that’s rational. Currently, we are on a very irrational trajectory toward the same place all civilisations go to die. You act like a spoilt private school child, spending your inheritance because you feel like you didn’t earn it. It disappears because it wasn’t fate, and the tools required to amass it have been lost. People wonder in. Stand atop the ruins. Question what life might have been like. Spend 10,000 years attempting to arrive at the same place, with no certainty of ever doing so again. Aliens in spaceships continue to be entertained.

What does that leave us?

Take the body to safety. There, we ask ourselves some questions:

• What is my highest expression? Is it love, defined as dissolving the illusion that we are separate?

• What is my legacy? Is it the next generation, defined as leaving the world more equipped to deal with the human condition than we found it?

• What does that ask of me? Do I understand the human condition and its fragile elevation?

• Do I understand in-grouping? That even monkeys know attachment comes from continual relationship maintenance (grooming), not a ‘hope not hate’ protest placard?

• Do I understand that civilisation was never certain, and history is cyclical, not linear?

You may be doing that already. You may not be doing that already and have no interest in doing that. Everyone can find peace, attachment and share that in a state of joy with others. Not everyone will. Those who don’t will be taken hostage by their body, call themselves clever, and be complicit in human suffering, as humans have done since the beginning of time. It is what it is.

Perhaps this week's loving-kindness meditation can nudge us toward a receptive state, reminding us that we are all fingers of the same hand, and love is always waiting for us when we finally turn off the survival responses. Only our forgetting gets in the way.

Happy hump day once again. Big news on this end. The proof copy of all three programs finally arrived.

500,000 words. A lot of coffee. But soon we will have a full barrage of arrows launching at the catastrophic modern care-industry worldview deeply complicit in humanity's suffering.

Until then, here’s the most-shared media, excerpts from programs 1 and 2 in the Somatic Academy:

1. The biggest hit, which, honestly, is always a surprise at review time, was the sharing of results from fecal microbiota transplants for a gut infection that accidentally resulted in the removal of an ADHD diagnosis. A reminder: This is not new technology. The Chinese reported using it in the 4th century AD. A 2026 paper finally revealed that Greco-Roman texts weren’t lying, as physical evidence of the practice was discovered inside vessels amongst ruins at Pergamon. Do we all quickly go out and find a local practitioner who can help us with this? Possibly. But that’s not the point. The point is, once again, ADHD is not a healthy variation, an ethnicity, or an identity. That is a lie constructed by magic bean companies who enjoy useful idiots acting as attack dogs for the groundless ideology. It is a survival response. When we discover these findings, we use them to motivate us to quarantine our gut health. Are we doing our best? Are we testing low GI? Low gluten? Low sugar? Low processed? Intermittent fasting? When we do, do we have a chart that reports our symptoms daily and lets us make choices that reflect our sovereignty over our experience? Or are we living on autopilot and screaming at a flying rock we call ‘non-inclusive’? Choice is ours, but so are the consequences.

   

2. The second most shared video revealed the neural results of our modern worldview. As we have done this entire project, we compare our grandparents’ worldview, our modern worldview and a body-led worldview. Yes, three worldviews, not two. That conversation in itself is absurdly confronting for many people, because we were brought up to believe our modern worldview is not one. It’s fate, and with it came ‘rationality’ and ‘progress.’ Yet, our amygdala is larger than our grandparents.’ This, of course, is associated with anxiety. Our IL-6 levels (more on that in a moment) are higher than our grandparents’. Our hippocampus (a strong predictor of emotional regulation) is smaller than that of yoga practitioners. Our DLPFC (top-down control centre) is smaller than almost anyone in the last two thousand years, because low volume of that area is how we get ADHD. Which is quite simple to achieve by deprioritising and reconfiguring the role of fathers. Maybe, after 500,000 years, we don’t need him? Maybe when we do, he is best as mum 2.0? We are allowed to have as many ideas as we like, but if we refuse to quarantine them, then we may be living the lie that our ideas don’t have pain potential. Adults who grew up without their fathers have a smaller DLPFC. Father-child interactions are dominated by neural synchrony in the DLPFC (also positively associated with father-child oxytocin levels). People with ADHD have a smaller DLPFC. The rate of ADHD in fatherless homes is double, the same risk as high exposure to exhaust fumes. If dad’s not there, then we may have to carry out some DLPFC workouts alone. Incredibly, praying the Our Father hyperactivates this exact area. Otherwise, we roll out the yoga mat for quite an interesting trajectory. Yoga practitioners initially supersize their DLPFC until decades pass and it shrinks. What’s this associated with? The absence of negative emotional experience to reappraise. It’s no longer needed. We found bliss. Or, we can rebrand men as toxic, and divorce as household diversity (or better yet, female empowerment), and allocate any developmental shortfalls to the personality prison of the next generation, because the modern worldview solely judges fairness for those dead in half a century at the cost of all those who come after. Choice is ours, but so are the consequences.

   

3. Our third most shared video related to neural excitability. It’s fascinating how many pathways we can uncover within the body that predict the symptoms we head into the therapy environment to correct, and how we fall for the lie that all we need to do is reappraise our circumstances by swapping cognitive cassette tapes. Objectively, observationally, that does not work. Meta-analysis tells us that. The big psychology associations and universities go to great lengths to hide that CBT, for most people, especially if they are in a passive defence response, is a coin toss at best. If we doubt that, all we need to ask is the frequency of magic bean prescriptions. If CBT worked, why the beans? If the beans worked, why do I have to keep taking them? That’s not a solution. That’s a subscription. But therapy can work. I’ve enjoyed hundreds of hours of it. I finally got to enjoy it because my therapist was trained in the Somatic tradition. More broadly, CBT success has been shown to depend on variables such as compassion and the presence of in-session tools such as breathwork. Hmm, what does that tell us? Well, what did glutamate predict? It is inversely associated with perspective taking and positively associated with the likelihood of having no close friends. What the video didn't cover, but that adds further context, is that glutamate falls during psilocybin interventions and correlates with the positive experience of ego-loss. We can wear a ‘social justice’ hat and bond with other people over every new manufactured problem that comes our way, therefore creating the conditions of attachment: problems and outrage. Or, we can admit that we are likely in a survival response. In that response, we are likely not much fun to hang around because we see the world through the filter of our unmet needs. We take the body to safety. After we do, we see others for who they are, and we all enjoy each other's presence, not being an emotional punching bag or resource to manipulate. Or, we pretend whilst sitting in a white-walled room, with a modern colour pop pillow, and an Ikea print, that drawing up our disempowering past and reappraising our poor relationship with it is all our homeostasis requires and success in achieving it is unrelated to the state of our bodily vessel. Choice is ours, but so are the consequences.

   

Take the body to safety before expecting others to find us an appropriate target for attachment.

Take the body to safety to fill the development gaps we may hold from our lack of parental investment, even if they did their best.

Take the body to safety by reducing inflammatory diet choices that are quite capable of remodelling the brain.

Nobody tells us that, do they? That perhaps our gut is the source of our disturbance, our underdeveloped (but malleable) brain is the source of our disturbance, and our neural excitability is the source of our disturbance. What else might we have missed? That brings us to our weekly work-in-progress update.

In Australia, a disability scheme has successfully recreated the British attempt to get rid of snakes in India. We don’t want snakes, so bring them to us dead, and we will pay you. What did the Indians do? Breed snakes. Kill them. Collect rewards. Clever, no? What does the disability scheme do? Provide an average of $34,700 support per person per year with an autism diagnosis. Now Australia has the highest autism diagnosis rates in the world.

But funding for autism, is that not a good thing? Would that not help us in our quest to alleviate human suffering? Depends where the money goes. As we have always shared in this project, the growth of modern autism is not low functioning. It is not your 1990s autism. It is high and medium functioning autism, and you can find videos online that guide you with talking points to push you from high to medium, if that is your goal.

So only 15% of recipients are low-functioning. The remaining 283,000 people are medium to high.1 This is our low-hanging fruit. How much of the $9.8b is being spent on targeting inflammation? Are we even aware that it should be a target?

Well, let’s pick out one of our favourites: IL-6.

This has been shown to upregulate NKCC1, which turns GABA excitatory.

This has been shown to shut down the necessary ingredients to convert estrogen precursors in women into estrogen, with the destination instead becoming testosterone.

This has been shown to upregulate excitatory synapses.

What are those pathways like in autism? They are autism. Excitatory GABA is sufficient to create both autism and ADHD. Females with autism have significantly higher testosterone levels. Everyone with autism, based on post-mortem studies, has substantially more excitatory synapses.

What has been shown to be associated with higher IL-6? We know:

• Women low in estrogen (this is bidirectional, as estrogen suppresses IL-6)

• Women high in testosterone.

• Men low in testosterone.

• High omega-6 diet.

• Non-meat diet.

• Perceiving discrimination.

What has been shown to be associated with lower IL-6:

• Loving-kindness meditations.

• Prayer.

• Church attendance.

• Cold water swimming.

• Sauna.

• Yoga.

• Carnivore diet.

• Vitamin B supplementation.

• Volunteering.

Those lists are not exhaustive. They are symbolic. We are not going to bypass that perceived discrimination. In an interesting study, simply reporting that you perceived discrimination was associated with higher IL-6 levels. Not actual discrimination. Which is little different from our studies on rejection sensitivity, where ‘lived experience’ researchers' goal-seeking ‘non-inclusive environments’ found that most participants reported that rejection was mostly imagined. Incredibly, the author still blamed schools.

Why do we concentrate on that? Because, as humans, yes, we can be clever, but we can also be extremely stupid. We tell young kids with an autism diagnosis that the only variable to their distress is this ‘non-inclusive environment,’ our catapulting rock through space, and they will perceive discrimination everywhere they look. Of course we do. GABA is excitatory, sex hormones are flashing infertile, and our brains are hoovering up the insignificant that makes just walking outside sensorily insufferable.

Who is telling kids this? People with jobs paid for by you. Reframing Autism, which received $455,000 in taxpayer funding,2 has a free course.3 Some of the first steps after the introduction are:

• “For non-autistics, respecting the choice of the majority of the Autistic community by using IFL [identify first language] is a tangible signal that you are an ally.”

• “The use of functioning labels, which designate an individual as “high-functioning” or “low-functioning” or categorise them as having “mild” or “severe” Autism, are deeply harmful to the Autistic community, regardless of an individual’s support needs.”

• Watching a TEDx talk that tells you that discovering the world was round, not flat, is a useful comparison to understanding autism as ‘neurodiversity’ and not a medical condition.

Excuse the language, but this is utter bullsh*t. Our highest expression is love. That requires low personal distress scores, and the physiological experience of it is dissolving two (or many) bodies into one. We can observe this via heart rate synchrony, blink rate synchrony, neural synchrony, hormonal synchrony, and, of course, endorphin release (which oxytocin is a proxy for).

That last pathway confirms that separation is the root of our suffering, as our pain pathway, the endogenous opioid system, functions as our scorecard of attachment. Insecure attachment is physically painful. Secure attachment is euphoric.

What is this self-other blur associated with? MINIMISING DIFFERENCES. Our bodies confuse another for us, and they confuse us for them. It’s not spiritual beliefs. It’s not a religion. That is what science tells us.

If you tell people with autism that an appropriate method of care is:

• Identifying as an additional category that is not simply being human.

• People who do not join you in that category may be prone to errors in remembering the lines for this fairy tale, and that means they are not an ‘ally.’

• This is not disorganisation. This is human authenticity.

You are placing a brick wall between them and especially their family.

You are placing concrete boots on them, and potentially their (future) children.

You are complicit in suffering that includes the increased chances of violent crime, chronic pain conditions, and self-harm (of which IL-6 has a strong correlation).

There is a lot wrong with us. I know the pain that our disorganisation produces. However, the strongest act of courage is to, yes, accept ourselves at this point, but also love ourselves so much that we believe we are worthy of even more. To revere this life opportunity with such intensity that we do not waste any time on any other activities other than sculpting this bodily vessel into a finely tuned machine that, once safe, can be used at our direction, rather than dragging us, or, many times, feeling like we are at war with it.

What if that government half a milly, what if that government $9.8b was, at least in part, directed toward:

• Balancing sex hormones in men and women in autism (the ones used as cannon fodder for gender ideology)?

• Practising loving-kindness meditations that strongly predict not only self-compassion but also compassion for others. Reducing the chances we see another as capable of discriminating against us.

• Improving our diets.

• Moving our bodies.

• Volunteering in the community. Focusing on how we can serve others, and wondering how that might serve us incidentally. Perhaps ‘the community’ starts with our family?

Would we not feel safer in our bodies? Would we not increase the chances of symptom reduction once we recognise the love we seek relies upon that as a target? Again, this is not exhaustive. It is symbolic, illustrative. Which path will we take?

Are we going to build a worldview of victimhood that ends at a Spider-Man meme? Or,

Are we going to build a worldview of personal responsibility that ends in dissolving the illusion that we are separate, recognising we are all fingers on the same hand?

Choice is yours, so are the consequences.

Happy hump day to you. New month, same old target: taking the body to safety. Let’s begin.

The most-shared media, excerpts from programs 1 and 2 in the Somatic Academy, were:

1. The connection between mouth breathing and ADHD. Researchers discovered an unusually high rate of mouth breathing in children diagnosed with ADHD. This builds upon previous research where brain imaging researchers discovered that participants who were breathing via their mouth showed significantly poorer brain connectivity and activation than nasal-breathing participants, leading to the concern that just about every study using brain scans needs to be revisited because what happens if (at least some of) the variances between subjects were due to breathing pathway? This can sound strange. However, it is extensively studied. As we break down in the Somatic Academy, this is hypothesised to be due to nasal breathing acting as a pump for glymphatic clearance (inversely associated with ADHD symptoms) and prompting brain waves that aid in memory consolidation (ADHD and trauma show low levels of these brain waves). Why are we breathing through our mouth? Inflammation clogs nasal passageways, which also brings in the strong connection between allergies and both ADHD and autism prevalence.

   

2. The next most-shared video is simply a reminder not to be a useful idiot. Autism is not a form of human diversity. Autism is not an identity. Autism is not a healthy variation. These beliefs are implanted in brains by the magic bean mafia, who love it because they get lifetime subscribers. The corrupt care industry loves it because the conditions are destigmatised, so everyone goes to get their label, which leads to financially rewarding 6-month waiting lists for practitioners. The patient loves it because finally the indescribable suffering gets a description that offers an in-group. None of that helps to alleviate human suffering. All of it demonstrates our lowest expression of humanity, and the various pathways through which we can be complicit in our species’ devolution as we refuse to see fairness as intergenerational. If this were preventable or reducible, and we find ways to prevent and reduce it, would I (A) cheerlead that? Or (B) would I not cheerlead that because I am confronted with an identity fracture. If I choose (B), I am acting selfishly. I value my homeostasis for X number of years before I pop off this earth more than all life that comes after me, because if future generations knew how to prevent/reduce it, countless lives would be objectively less painful. That requires acknowledging that we all hold worldviews, which we also don’t like to admit, because then we have to examine those too. If we find out our beliefs, which produce behaviour that has consequences, may be self-sabotage/suffering producing in others, bam, abandonment again. So the path of least resistance is a useful idiot. It takes courage, particularly moral courage, to not do that. For ourselves, for our loved ones, for our patients, for our cultural thumb drive.

   

3. The third most shared video related to GABA and ADHD/autism. When researchers find pathways that are so influential, they alone are able to reach the desired goal of dysregulation, we should listen up. One such pathway is GABA. It is not exclusive to ADHD/autism. We can create panic disorder models in animals via the same pathway. Two main threads are at work here: Do we have GABA? If we do, is it calming us or making the world painful? That is, in both trauma and ADHD/autism, GABA is lower and associated with symptom severity. However, GABA as ‘calm juice’ is an option, not a fate. It depends on chloride levels, which hormones dictate. If cortisol is high, oxytocin is low, testosterone is low in males (stress converts testosterone to estrogen in men), and testosterone is high in females (stress prevents estrogen conversion in women), we will have excitatory GABA, which means we will show ADHD and autism symptoms.

   

All three of those videos, of course, reveal that our modern care industry does not aim to alleviate human suffering. In fact, it is wholly complicit in human suffering. It can do so because it sits within our modern worldview, not the debris of highest expression striving, but the manipulation of the basic aspects of human nature to serve the interests of people who benefit from that manipulation.

As we looked at in the last newsletter. Money flows to university professors. University professors who hold the keys to ‘authority’ sit on advisory boards that receive money flows. Humans enter indoctrination factories (universities) and receive their software. They play out that software's programming in real life, and humans asking for healers are seen as faceless consumers.

Why are humans prone to software installation? That brings us to an update on the work in progress for program 3. We fundamentally do not understand ourselves. We do not understand the defense cascade. We have good intent in our hearts, but we are wholly held hostage by our bodies trying to save us. Who is ‘we’ in this moment? Better question: Who is most likely to become a front-line defender?

Most people become mental health practitioners because they were the emotional punching bag of their family. They have some thoughts on the human condition because their currency for connection was likely regulating other people’s emotional experience. Why not receive real currency for doing the same for people in distress? Sounds noble. Which means:

• Up to 70% of psychologists report insecure attachment, versus 25-30% in the general population.

• Up to 80% of psychologists report a history of mental health struggles, while 1 in 2 will hold a diagnosis.

• Psychologists have the highest divorce rates of high-income professionals.

This means the injured player is carrying out the rescue for another injured player, deemed reasonable, because at least both are aware of the injuries that can occur in the game of life.

Yet, if we understand the defense cascade, we understand the longer our disturbance continues, the higher up we scale, and the more irrational our survival responses will, rationally, be. Which makes us incredibly permeable to bad ideas. We will accept bad certainty over uncertainty. We carry out the actions asked of us, a false cue of correct behaviour (because I’m just following the rules). We receive money, a false cue of correct behaviour (because if what I am doing was wrong, no one would reward me for doing it).

These are larger philosophical questions of life that can be difficult to entertain when we are not in receptive states. So let’s just leave them as thought bubbles for now and move to something concrete to hold on to. If this software installation was correct and worthy, it would likely (1) address the problem, (2) certainly not hurt the person.

Ok, let’s check on (2):

• Depression magic beans are used as an alternative to chemical castration in prison (no one tells us that, do they?)

• ADHD magic beans are linked to reduced hippocampus volume and lower bone mineral density.

• People diagnosed with autism are twice as likely to be using antidepressants as the general population, and ADHD medication is the second most common prescription for children diagnosed with autism.

Are we doing anything about glutamate? Why would we worry about glutamate? Because it’s part of (1).

It is a ‘switch’ for whether ADHD stays or goes during adolescence.

It’s a switch for whether depression is treatment-resistant or not.

It is positively associated with autism symptoms.

Why is glutamate high? Because we are not safe in the body. We have a simple choice: We take the body to safety, or submit to being a cog in the machine of human suffering.

If we are in a disorganised state, meditating can be just about the worst thing to do. We are in a war with our body, and someone says: go sit with your enemy. That’s not fun. So we see meditation on a continuum. Maybe an energetic release is what we need? Which is why we have our somatic shakeout in the toolkit, as we did a couple of weeks ago.

As we slowly become a friend to our body, we start to meet a version of ourselves that isn’t in a survival response, and that person is quite lovely to sit with. That is the love waiting for us, always, once we find safety.

I’m sure there is a lot to chew on there for this week, and I’ve got to start recording program 3, so I’ll leave it there for now.

Longer one again this week, so let’s get straight in.

The top shared media, excerpts from program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. The third most shared video of the week related to the global and institution-penetrating nature of Lowest Expression Inclusion Culture. A child who was not Catholic enrolled in a Catholic school, complained, and it went all the way to the High Court, and the judge ruled in favour of the child because Catholic teaching is ‘indoctrinating.’ This decision was delivered with commentary on the necessity to be critical and objective. So using the same, critical, and objective lens, we find that children who go to Catholic schools report three times higher sense of belonging, 30% lower liklihood of being bullied, higher sense of self-worth, have a higher sense of meaning from life, feel more prepared for work and relationships outside of school, are more likely to have volunteered in their community in the last 12 months, which predicts not only higher empathy scores but it does so through lower IL-6 (as regular readers know, thats the one that upregulates excitatory synpases). Which means one child reverses all of those outcomes for all. Why? They have a different worldview. This is the chronic misinterpretation of our age. Everyone has a worldview. Everyone will be running on software. The child, the judge, the school. Does it have to be your grandmother’s thumb drive? No. Should we reference science and the greater good? Yes. We keep sacrificing healthy kids for the crying baby. Kids with no ancestral history of oppression are told they have blood on their hands. Kids with no history of violence are told they have hidden discrimination in their hearts. Kids enjoying three times higher sense of belonging are told one kid doesn’t like the in-grouping protocol, as fans of Seinfeld will remember: “No soup for you!” No one gets fed. Morally, intellectually and spiritually bankrupt.

   

2. The second most-shared video relates to the power of breath to remodel our brain. Before we talk about how, what we need to acknowledge is: If good breathwork changes the brain, what does bad breathwork do? That is, dysregulated breathing patterns, which are inherent to panic disorder, autism and ADHD. So what was observed? Breathing at six breaths per minute, which releases endogenous opioids, led to growth in the OFC region of the brain. Is this region of the brain important? Linking to our previous video, activation is positively associated in religiously affiliated people with feelings of unity with God. Outside of that, it is underactivated and smaller in ADHD, ODD and panic disorder. What was correlated with changes in the region after the intervention? Lower negative affect and better emotional regulation. For those interested, we practice this six-breaths-per-minute routine and lots more breathing exercises in Program 2 of the Somatic Academy.

   

3. Yesterday's video was the most shared. We looked at trauma, prenatal stress and early life adversity. All three change the stress gene: Fkbp5. Small instructions (epigenetic changes) are placed on it, ramping up responsiveness to stress and predicting ADHD diagnosis in children once they went to school. They didn’t pick up a personality trait on the way in, deciding to be inattentive, hyperactive or impulsive. They are simply carrying out predictable responses from the DNA soup they were given. DNA soup that responded to scarcity. The currently spineless care industry tells them that it is their identity, throws magic beans like confetti that have a deleterious effect on the bodily vessel (more on that in a moment) and sends them on their way so no one has any responsibility for taking a body to safety. And, if we continue our Seinfeld theme, what happens if Bizarro World existed? Short yoga interventions, silent retreats, breathwork, and pulling the trifecta on your grandmother's cultural thumb drive: church attendance are all associated with methylation changes in the opposite direction. We have to stop using children as stress and trauma sinks and telling them surviving can only be done with a prescription. It shows no reverence for this rare gift of life we have been provided.

   

Time for an update on program 3, ‘A Fragile Elevation.’ Given the topics we have just run through, perhaps we show the evil the world is capable of before bookending the investigation with this week's Monday meditation, which lifts our emotional state to a more positive place.

This is the growth of the most popular ADHD medication in Australia.

It received a huge kick in 2023, and in years since then, but these are the latest government figures held. Why the bounce? Because of an ADHD Senate Inquiry chaired by the Greens. Why is a party that used to strap itself to old-growth trees in Tasmania interested in ADHD? Let’s hear what their recommendation was:

“The Australian Greens recommend the National Disability Insurance Agency improve the accessibility and quality of information around the eligibility of ADHD as a primary condition under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including (but not limited to)… completion of neurodivergent-affirming training, including modules on ADHD, by all NDIA [National Disability Insurance Agency] staff and contractors.”

Weird. An inquiry into ADHD not focused on alleviating suffering and dropping diagnoses, instead training front-line staff to affirm diagnoses?

Did they get it? Sure did.

“The committee recommends the Australian Government implement, through the Department of Health and Aged Care, a neurodiversity-affirming public health campaign to shift social attitudes and stigma associated with ADHD and to improve public awareness and promote education.”

You see those words? ‘Shift social attitudes and stigma.’ Do we quarantine that with our ‘indoctrination’ discussion, objectively and critically? Or do we only see software updates from one direction?

Anyway, it all becomes clear when we realise the Greens simply wanted to spawn new voters.

It’s chosen to in-group via mental illness. How enlightened. We shouldn’t be surprised, because, funnily enough, most Green voters don’t care much about the environment anymore (hence kicking out the party's Australian founder when he refused to remove a Facebook post questioning if gender was fluid). Instead, they are simply an anti-social cohesion party. You can predict a Green voter today, because more than any other party, they score higher on:

• Willingness to claim government benefits.

• Willingness to avoid paying for public transport.

• Willingness to cheat on taxes.

• Willingness to accept a bribe.

So it makes sense that this party is willing to sacrifice children for ideology. But of course, the evil isn’t only located in one place. Another recommendation was:

“…increase the range of healthcare professionals, particularly GPs and nurse practitioners, who can contribute to assessment and support services for people with ADHD.”

Oh wow, every local doctor can hand out a diagnosis and magic beans? That’s a huge hurdle dropper. Where have we heard that before? Of course:

“AADPA is currently involved in developing several models of care trials between specialists and GPs, particularly in regional areas, and recommends that Australia work toward expanding the professionals involved with diagnosing ADHD.”

Who are AADPA? The Australian ADHD Professionals Association. What are they all about? Well, they were always fond of watching the famous television show with Jamie and Adam busting myths, so they have their own myth-busting factsheet. What myths concern them?

• That ADHD is not persistent: “Many families and young people with ADHD were told that ADHD symptoms would reduce and their child would ‘grow out of them’ by adulthood. While sometimes hyperactivity symptoms may reduce as people become adults, this is usually because people find ways to hide their symptoms.”

• That ADHD is over-diagnosed: “It is sometimes reported that ADHD is overdiagnosed and that symptoms are a normal part of growing up. Trivialising the symptoms as ‘normal behaviour’ fails to recognise the extent and impact the symptoms of ADHD have on people. We know that ADHD is significantly under-diagnosed in Australia (and most other countries) which has been identified through numerous peer reviewed research studies on the topic.”

Yep, no alleviation of suffering here. Simply, there are more people to be diagnosed, and that diagnosis is your fate, which increases the chances you’ll be a lifetime magic bean subscriber.

Which is weird, because as we discovered in The Defense Cascade, simply sending kids to yoga for 12 weeks dropped ADHD symptoms:

But better than that, sending parents to behaviour and mindfulness training dropped children's ADHD symptoms. Ah, we aren’t random DNA blobs accidentally running into each other. We do participate wholeheartedly in each other's nervous systems.

Was AADPA acting alone? They will tell you they were, but here’s some totally unrelated information.

The AADPA annual conference was held at the Sofitel in Melbourne. Nice Choice. Expensive choice too. Rooms go for over $400 a night. Luckily, Takeda paid $20,000.00 for the platinum sponsorship package.1

Who is Takeda? We’ll get to that in a moment.

Before we do. Who are the humans behind AADPA? The president of AADPA chairs the Developmental Mental Health Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne.

Sounds like the right person for the job. Probably has a lot of expertise. Oh look, $12,965.73 in speaking fees for Dave from Melbourne U, paid for by Takeda. 2

Wow, there’s that name again. That’s an annual conference and a speech? Happy days.

So who is Takeda? They sell the most popular ADHD medication in Australia that we mentioned earlier. When did they increase sales by 50%? In 2023. When was the Senate inquiry? In 2023. When was the annual conference sponsorship that never happened again? In 2023. When were speaking arrangements requested but never requested again? In 2023.

Nothing to see here. But, just out of interest, where do psychologists, such as Dave, place themselves on the ideology continuum? Economically, centre-left. They have some moolah in the back pocket for believing in private property.

Socially, very liberal.

Hmm, ok. Flash bang. Breaking news…. someone has been taken to court in June 2026. Who? The World Professional Association for Transgender Health. The holiest of holy, ‘very liberal’ institution.3

What’s in the court documents? Nothing much, just the former director earning a cool milly per year on transitioning kids.

How open were such ‘very liberal’ institutions to alternative voices? Well, let’s hear it from former president Dr Marci:4

“…there are definitely people who are trying to keep out anyone who doesn’t absolutely buy the party line that everything should be affirming, and that there’s no room for dissent.”

Crazy, could that potentially lead to outcomes in which children are tempted into a trend due to trauma and insecure attachment? Again, let’s go to the expert, Marci:

“I think there probably are people who are influenced. There is a little bit of ‘Yeah, that’s so cool. Yeah, I kind of want to do that too.’”

(You can read accounts of 100 detransitioners here confirming the same)5

Oh wow. Maybe we went too far? But let’s not assume, Marci? You there?

“We zig and then we zag, and I think maybe we zigged a little too far to the left in some cases.”

Gotcha. We made gender diversity software installation compulsory in other people’s kids, when we statistically don’t have our own, and anyone who questions us carrying out that update on other people’s kids is a far-right, fascist, phobic, bigot.

Then, a couple of years later, with bodies on the floor everywhere: ‘we may have had too much fun at the party last night, lol.’

While that sinks in, let’s return to ADHD.

Animal studies show ADHD magic beans neuter testosterone in males.

Increase neural spine density.

Associated with fear extinction deficits.

And in humans, hollow out bones.

And shrink our hippocampus based on our accumulated lifetime exposure.

Oh. Ok. I think I understand now.

So, Catholic school is indoctrination, tick.

And gender diversity is compulsory human progress, until the ones carrying out the superior human progress admit (but only them, everyone else is a far-right, fascist, phobic, bigot), perhaps, we went too far. Also, ADHD is an identity (not a trauma response with methylation changes that work in both directions), but it needs magic beans to function, and those beans break down the human vessel, and we just keep quiet about that part.

If you are a psychologist, you have to have the brain power and a beating heart to understand the fishbowl we live in. Every institution is telling you to look right, ‘far-right,’ for the threat, whilst on the very liberal left, human suffering is not only ignored: it's the product of the show. You holiday on human suffering, or you act with moral courage and help take bodies back to safety, with the species library as the north star.

What did Buddhist monk Ajahn Chah tell us to do if anger rises up in this moment? Remind ourselves that it does not belong to us, because if it did, we would be able to say ‘be gone’ and it would. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go, so we try another method: our loving kindness meditations, which is what was the topic of this week's Monday Meditation.

Another week almost done and dusted. The WSL just wrapped up in Tahiti with some incredible moments. Hope you’ve found a few reasons to smile.

Let’s review the most shared media pieces, excerpts from program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. The day will come not too far from now, when the class action of common sense brings together all the people who were involved in the abuse that is the neurodivergent movement. They will be asked: Here is the data we held at the time, why did you do it? Why did you sacrifice children for your ideology? Advocacy groups receive millions in taxpayer funds to write policy for government that is installed in classrooms, and parents/teachers/students believe is conducted in good faith, yet their entire strategy is conducted on the belief that autism (and ADHD) is simply a healthy variation of human expression. It’s not. It’s trauma. Any psychologist practising ‘neuro-affirming care’ can book an early-bird flight to the class action, too. Reason number 474637363 for today was the most shared video covering the results of fecal microbiota transplants. A technique, as Somatic Academy students will be well aware, stretches back to the Romans, yet we pretend we magically invented it in 1958. The hamster wheel of history on display again. Anyway, the results. Meta-analyses of these interventions show strong benefits. One study included a 2-year follow-up and reported continued symptom improvement and loss of diagnosis in 44% of patients. What do we do with that information? We say that the gut is quite capable of remodelling the brain, and the behaviour we observe in autism can be produced/turned off by that remodelling.

   

2. Which leads us into the next most-shared video. Children with the most severe autism symptoms were 9 times more likely to be consuming grains daily. This helps us construct one pathway. Intestinal permeability is far more likely in people diagnosed with autism than in the general population. That leads to inflammation, which upregulates excitatory synapses and impairs glymphatic clearance. Impaired glymphatic clearance leads to blood-brain barrier leakage, allowing wheat peptides to attack endogenous opioid receptors. Remember, if we turn these receptors off in experiments, healthy adults start acting autistic. Is that the only autism pathway? No. But if repairing the gut and limiting grains show improvements, we take the wins that come from personal responsibility for the bodily vessel. That certainly didn’t come from chanting about inclusive environments, because the world will always feel non-inclusive with pools of toxins in our brain.

   

3. Lastly, we place modern therapy into the spotlight. What happens after our first few sessions of therapy? We collect our list of things we didn’t receive, that have been finally validated by a social other, and we point at all the people around us and say: ‘It’s your fault, my therapist said….’ Why do we do that? Because our worldview believes that the only barrier to our healing is simply swapping a cognitive cassette tape. We knee-jerk into thinking that part of that process is collecting our dues from others. What that does is boost an already elevated ego, because personal distress scores walk in tandem with ego-centrism; of course they do. At the end of the defence cascade is you versus me, and my body will always choose me. What did every cultural thumb drive in human history do instead? Ask us to domesticate the body. What does that mean today? Take the body to safety. Does that mean we throw out CBT? No, of course not. We simply acknowledge that if we are not safe in our bodies, we are built not to extinguish our fears, because to do so would threaten our chances of survival. As we have shared in the past, simple breathing and compassion exercises before a therapy session add huge benefits.

Time for an update on program 3, ‘A Fragile Elevation.’ Let’s talk excitatory synapses. When we are children, we are human hoovers. Soaking everything in. As we prove through sustained safety and successful overcoming of obstacles that excitatory synapses are no longer needed, they are pruned. Simultaneously, inhibitory synapses increase, and in the third decade of our life we settle into a calm rhythm.

What impairs this process? Of course, the opposite. Non-safety and defeat. How might that come about? One pathway: IL-6. This inflammatory cytokine runs around our brain and increases excitatory synapses. Who has a lot of these?

People with autism.

People with depression, and sadly, people who committed su____.

Can these excitatory synapses be removed later in life? Sure can. Take the body to safety. They are experience-dependent. What might prevent that? For men, low testosterone. We’ll cover that pathway another time, but what’s important to realise is that testosterone levels during adolescence are inversely associated with anxiety and depression symptoms. Testosterone levels are also in secular decline. A 70-year-old man in the 1980s has the same testosterone as a 19-year-old man today.

Our current worldview tells young boys that perhaps they are girls.

Our current world view thinks testosterone is toxic.

Our current world view thinks care is allowing the proliferation of excitatory synapses that are overly represented in post-mortem studies of people who have taken their own lives.

It’s time to wake up. Particularly if our career is in the care industry where we have the professional and moral obligation to alleviate human suffering. Not cheerlead it.

Can’t believe it is almost August. Perhaps you have some time to reflect on the first half of the year, pat yourself on the back for kicking some goals, and be motivated for H2. If not, we take the body to calm :)

The most shared media pieces from the last 7 days, excerpts from program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. A fascinating study from 1939 allowed infants to self-select their diet. Not only did all the infants thrive, but those that were previously sick healed themselves. One had rickets and self-selected cod liver oil until his bones strengthened, and then he didn’t want any more. The body knew. Which gives us cause to pause and ask: What else could the body know? Could it be able to save us in other ways? As we walk that prickly path, test how much of our lives we can quarantine with the assumption that ‘perhaps this is a projection of my internal disturbance, and my body is simply asking for safety?’ Happy people don’t live complicated lives.

   

2. The second most shared video touched on the famous meta-analysis of 218 studies, with a combined 14,000 participants, that found dance provided the highest clinical benefit for depressed patients. One pathway is BDNF. We expand that formula and see that endogenous opioids chronically upregulate BDNF. Why do endogenous opioids fall? Because we are separated. They are our scorecard of attachment. Makes sense. Why ‘consolidate’ or ‘de-prioritise’ our recent memories when we are alone? We obviously aren’t safe. We re-attach energetically, synchronously, and order is restored. Interestingly also, that marginal benefit from magic beans works on this pathway, not serotonin. Recent longitudinal studies suggest it actually reduces serotonin. Modern care industry at it again.

   

3. The third most shared video was the relationship between allergies and autism. During that chat, we bypassed the fact that people growing up on farms tend to have lower allergies. We don’t use highway science (100 people ran across the road, 1 made it, therefore the road can’t be called dangerous), we use observations, that work on probabilities. Such observations relate to activities such as drinking raw milk and being present while manure was spread. Why the connection between allergies and autism? Because glymphatic clearance gets impaired.

   

Time for an update on program 3, ‘A Fragile Elevation.’

It will be a longer one this week, and a huge data dump.

I do it because families are busy raising children and working to put food on the table. Lobby groups are funded by the government to then advise the government what to do. They have no other job. A thought that something might not be right by parents is often squashed for fear of not having enough information. Here is what we know…

There has been some recent controversy in Australia over the gender education placed in schools, after it seemed one-off ‘mistakes’ were appearing as a trend around the country in recent times. Three examples from different states to show this is not just one external provider (these sessions are often outsourced):

• Children's grades were linked to choral recitation of pledges of allegiance to LGBTQIA+.

• Another involved telling students that being gay is more ‘fun’ and they should ‘give it a try,’ along with saying the ‘+’ could mean beastiality, brother-brother love, and sister-sister love, because everything is accepted.

• Another, which appeared today, involved booklets with cartoons of threesomes and an*l sex. None of which is on the provider's website. The parent version is extremely sanitised.

Now if you find that appropriate, then what follows will likely be distressing, so I recommend unsubscribing.

We all remember sex-ed. This is not sex-ed. This is indoctrination. This is a worldview for in-grouping that is by nature exclusionary. You are either in, or you sit on the sidelines as an ‘ally’ that needs to be available for canned applause. If you aren’t one of those, then you are a hurty word. That’s not in-grouping. That’s ruling over. This is Lowest Expression Inclusion Culture.

Highest Expression Exemplar Culture asks for responsibility, not transactional rights. Everyone takes responsibility, and by doing so, we get a commercial outcome, a larger pie. We see this in simple examples of rowing alone, or rowing with six others. When we row alone, we get an endorphin jump. When we row with 6 people, we all get double the endorphins than alone, doing the same thing. We’ll come back to those endorphins later.

The cover story for this indoctrination is, of course, fairness. We want to avoid bad outcomes in childhood. Ok, so what do we know about gender diversity?

It doubled during COVID and has since halved. So, we can not rule out environmental influences. What happened in the body with COVID? Particularly long COVID? Inflammatory marker PGE2 went sky high. What does PGE2 do? It’s an endocrine disruptor. It sends testosterone up in women and down in men, fast. E.g., administering PGE2 to a bull dropped its testosterone by 75% in 2 hours.

Ok, what do we know about human DNA soups before an identification as gender diverse? Historically, three main factors are highly prevalent (1) insecure attachment (2) unresolved trauma (3) psychiatric diagnosis before identifying as gender diverse. Here are some recent stats…

(1) Insecure attachment

• A study in Australia found 82% of children identifying as gender diverse were insecurely attached to their parents. The chances of being one of those 4 out of 5 children increased by three times if they were from a non-intact family.

• A study from Finland found that 51% of children identifying as gender diverse were not living with both of their biological parents.

• A study from Italy found 73% of children identifying as gender diverse were not securely attached to their parents.

(2) Unresolved trauma

• A study in Australia found that 20% of children identifying as gender diverse already were diagnosed with PTSD.

• A study from Italy found 56% of children identifying as gender diverse had experienced four or more traumatic events.

(3) Psychiatric diagnosis

• A study from Australia found 87% of children identifying as gender diverse had a psychiatric diagnosis.

• A study from Australia found 57.3% of children had already been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, and a further 26% suspected they would reach the diagnostic threshold.

• A study from Finland found 68% of children identifying as gender diverse first had contact with psychiatric services for reasons other than gender.

Outside of younger people, the Australian Government Human Rights Assessment released its report this year, and it revealed:

• 48% of LGB people have seriously considered suicide at some point in their lives.

• 43% of Trans and gender diverse people have attempted suicide.

• 29% of LGBTIQA+ Australians rate their health as poor.

• 39% of LGBTIQA+ Australians have a disability or long-term health condition. 10% report a severe or profound disability.

• 73% of LGBTIQA+ Australians have been diagnosed with a mental health condition at some point in their lives.

• 25% of cisgender LGBQA+ Australians and 46% of transgender Australians have attempted suicide in the past 12 months.

• 74.8% of LGBTIQA+ Australians have had suicidal ideation in the past 12 months.

• Up to 40% of LGBTIQA+ people live below the poverty line.

• Rates of unemployment for LGBTIQA+ people are at 12.7%, and 20% for trans and gender diverse people, more than double the national rate.

A recent study out of the US found that children identifying as gender diverse tend to have unresolved trauma, insecure attachment and pre-existing psychiatric diagnoses but also tend to:

• Not participate in sport.

• Have high socio-economic status (more likely to be supportive of gender diversity in the US)

Ok, so let’s say the identifying as gender diverse/trans comes about. What further adjusted risk associations do we see?

• The biggest one is schizophrenia, with a 28 times higher risk.

• The next biggest is ADHD, with a 6 times higher risk.

• Autism isn’t far behind with a 5 times higher risk.

But incredibly, people identifying as GD/trans exhibit higher autism symptoms than people already diagnosed with autism.

What are we forced to examine at this moment? The GABA switch (Is GABA inhibitory or excitatory?). Too much chloride due to upregulation of NKCC1, and downregulation of KCC2. What are these primarily driven by? Or when do they become out of order? High cortisol, low oxytocin and low endogenous opioid expression. Trauma and detachment. That’s why kids in orphanages rock.

How would we know if this is really the area to be looked at? Sensory sensitivity. This is how we most obviously feel GABA as excitatory. This (which is why, if we don’t help bodies to safety, if this is the case) is how we get chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia in later years. So how are sensory sensitivity scores? Higher than autism.

Given what we know about the defense cascade, that the more our body is fighting for survival, the more likely we act ego-centrically, how is empathy? Worse than females with autism, and if an autism diagnosis is present, almost half that of females without autism.

What have we done? We repeated past mistakes.

We used the least socially dominant relationship as a safety net: children.

That’s what we did with ADHD and autism. This is your identity, even though it’s a trauma response, statistically speaking, from the prior generation. When we feel energetically aroused about that, we recognise that our grandparents also had a say. Then we look at the chain in our hand and realise if we continue to play that blame game we end up talking to a monkey who wants to steal our sunglasses. Not our fault. Is our responsibility to investigate. No different with gender diversity.

To be clear, this has nothing to do with sexuality. What we are talking about exclusively is personal distress scores that are self-reported and clinically observed. Everybody deserves to be free from suffering. How have we decided to attempt that? Telling 7-year-old children they are responsible for the emotional regulation of someone with insecure attachment, unresolved trauma, and pre-existing psychiatric disorders. We have asked 7-year-old children to be psychologists. They aren’t. They are children.

What does that do to them?

Firstly, we have added questions to the list. For the first time in human history we don’t know where grandpa went, we don’t know how to downregulate and quarantine our thoughts, and now we don’t even know what gender you are. Have fun. But fairness, right? So surely there is a large percentage of people we are looking after by suggesting people might fit this category. No, based on current statistics, there is a 95-97% chance that won’t be their life story, and yet, with all the stress that exists today for them, and us putting it on them from our stress that is contagious, we ask them: who am I?

Secondly, it tells them that inside of them there is something evil; they probably can’t clearly identify it because they don’t feel evil. They have never been evil, but someone else doesn’t feel good. It must have been them. We have told them that any distress felt by another person they own. We know that in the therapy environment, we call that parentification, and it takes years to unlearn. We have just psychologically abused a child. We are telling a generation of children they are responsible for other people’s emotional states, and they are wrong about their own. You are not safe. You could be evil.

Who is the most likely perpetrator of violence against a gender diverse person? Their partner. Rates of intimate partner violence amongst gender diverse relationships are multiples of non-gender diverse relationships. What contributes towards the likelihood of that?

• Sensory sensitivity is a strong predictor of aggression.

• People diagnosed with autism are two times more likely to be convicted of a violent crime.

• People diagnosed with ADHD are 6.5 times more likely to be convicted of a violent crime.

Which means we are doing two things.

We are telling a 7-year-old child they are responsible for the circumstances of a life that arrives at identifying as gender diverse, that on a probability basis experienced:

1. Insecure attachment.

2. Trauma exposure.

3. Endocrine disruption.

4. Inactivity.

5. Lowest Expression Inclusion Culture

But, importantly, we are also depriving care from a body that has just been through that. The only reason we can possibly get away with it is because of a complete dereliction of duty to observe what we have just read. Modern mental health care is not health care. It increasingly practices ‘affirming care’ which is simply asking a drowning person to save themselves. Psychologists have exported their job to the person in the room seeking help and called it ‘lived experience.’

There was a 75% hit rate on not wanting to be here anymore. That young body doesn’t know that BDNF is negatively associated with suicidal ideation, is lower in people identifying as gender diverse and physical activity is strongly positively associated with BDNF. That young body doesn’t know IL-6 is positively associated with both ADHD and autism symptoms and goes around upregulating excitatory synapses in our brain. That young body doesn’t know that gut dysbiosis means we can acquire new fears, but not extinguish old ones. That body does know all of that, but neither does their psychologist who has a PhD.

But let’s revisit endorphins. They are wholly part of the process of neural synchrony. What is neural synchrony? Your brain, and my brain, act as one. It is how a parent maintains a child's homeostasis because they are biologically incapable of doing it themselves. It is how parents develop an immature brain. It is also how we consolidate individuals. For example, we can tell with 92% accuracy if someone is relgiously affiliated because they will be synched with other people religiously affiliated (in the same town), those non religiosuly affiliated are randomly firing alone. We are dissolving the illusion we are separate, and every cultural thumbdrive around the world arrived at the same place, and today, we have the science to explain why. When our brains sync, we like each other. Of course we do. We think someone else is us, and we are inherently invested in ourselves.

What is important to bring that about?

The usual, such as eye gaze, touch, turn-taking, but what lights a fire under it is ritual. That’s why religion achieves self-other blur beyond simply drumming, singing or dancing. What does that mean? The following are positively associated with neural synchrony:

1. Shared beliefs.

2. Similar level of positive expression during activities.

3. Co-operation, not competition (including minimising differences in appearance).

4. Identification with exemplar of shared narrative.

5. Synchronised behaviour.

Then what happens? You get an attentive, empathetic classroom.

That’s why people in the military have the most diverse friendship groups. No need to picture make or virtue signal. We take off our human suits and just link brains.

1. You have one mission.

2. With your brothers and sisters.

3. Who wear the same clothes and have shaved their heads.

4. Here are the heroes who have completed it before you.

5. Get going.

Now tell me how this possibly links brains:

1. Telling one child they are evil, and the other child is a victim.

2. Telling one child to pledge allegiance and the other child to receive the ring kiss.

3. Telling one child to be canned applause for the other that’s having more ‘fun’.

4. Telling one child the exemplar is the next person with a problem worse than theirs.

5. Telling all children that whatever they feel, want, and desire is valid (even if it is a survival response).

It doesn’t.

This Lowest Expression Inclusion Culture refuses to admit it’s a worldview, assumes it’s human progress, and so dangerously rules over people due to this superior position. The people passionate about this topic are doing it in schools because, on a probability basis, they don’t have children of their own. This is how they pass their legacy on, through other people’s children. We rarely speak about legacy but it is a powerful, invisible, shaper of our lives. If this were not the case, wouldn’t we just enjoy rights in adult spaces?

The state loves it because anything to do with rights is theirs to administer, which means ultimately, they make themselves god-like. They also simply borrow ‘diversity’ goodwill, which means you don’t ask questions about the economy. No different with business. Poison rivers, manufacture in sweatshops? No worries, we’ve got a rainbow flag on the website.

Ok, that was a lot, but hopefully it provides parents with information they need to make educated decisions for their children, and psychologists motivation to upskill in the face of a changing world.

Over to Monday Meditation. We looked at estrogen this week and its relationship with the startle response, did some alternate nostril breathing, then enjoyed the time on the other side of rebalancing.

That’s it, ey? World Cup is over. Almost like the weather knows it. Sweaters are back on in Northern Europe, but that is an incentive to clear out the toxins in the sauna. Anyway, hope the week has been kind to you. Let’s begin.

The most shared media pieces from the last 7 days, excerpts from program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. We started with the intelligence scores, showing a 10,000-year trend of a positive selection for genes we consider associated with high levels of education today. Then we threw a bucket of cold water on that by seeing the trend over the last century, where it has reversed. Same with brain volumes, so we shouldn’t be surprised. Who has smaller brains? People with ADHD. Lowest Expression Inclusion Culture cheerleads our devolution. But we don’t like hearing such news today because we like to pretend we are the most evolved. Also a worldview of the last century. I am here, with a recent birthdate, I must be superior. Yet, your grandma going to church each Sunday was an anti-inflammatory event. Which inflammatory cytokine has a dose-dependent inverse relationship with Church visits? IL-6. What is that associated with? ADHD symptom severity. Why? Because it goes around to your synapses and upregulates the excitatory ones, downregulates the inhibitory ones, and when we have too much neural excitability, the brain starts to shrink. Do we have to go to Church? No. We can if we want, but what we are required to do is recognise our new baseline. If we are not getting together and carrying out an activity that upregulates the endogenous opioid system (e.g. World Cup) and downregulates inflammation (e.g. yoga, sauna, cold water swimming), we will be disorganised. That’s not a stranger’s fault. That’s not a school’s fault. We don’t have a rights problem. We have a responsibility problem. We…take…the…body…to…calm.

   

2. The second most shared video of the past week was today’s video. A simple reminder that if we take the gut bacteria from a human with ADHD and place it in a rodent, its hippocampus falls apart. Why? The hippocampus is one of the most stress-sensitive regions of the brain (and also called the mediator of our personality). The gut is quite capable of remodelling our brains, simply via inflammation. When we tell children ADHD is their identity, we are telling them to turn around and swing amongst the branches again. Let’s not do that.

   

3. The third most shared video can help us with the second most shared. 15 years ago, the ADHD research centre in the Netherlands discovered that an elimination diet was able to drop ADHD symptoms by over 50% in as little as 9 weeks. They were so pleased with the result that they came up with the term ‘food-induced ADHD’ and recommended that doctors screen for this sub-group before medication. What did everyone do instead? Head off on the biggest ADHD diagnosis drive in recorded history. Expand the entry requirements, destigmatise the condition amongst both parents and patients, and successfully increase prescriptions by 10 times in the last 10 years. Cultural poverty.

   

An update on work in progress. First section of program 3 is drafted. We pick up the GABA switch, which we also covered in program 1 (The Defense Cascade), but take it a step deeper across the lifecycle.

What is the GABA switch? When you are a bun in the oven that is your mum, your GABA is excitatory. Ooo, flash bang, our world shakes. ‘GABA? Excitatory? I heard it was our primary inhibitory neurotransmitter!’ Yes, that’s correct. 10 points. However, it is only inhibitory when the plug in the chloride sink is pulled. That plug is KCC2. That pulling is gradual. Like most of our development, it takes about two decades.

However, importantly, it doesn’t happen on its own. The primary mechanism for its upregulation is oxytocin. Oh damn. There it is. The root of our suffering is our separation. What is the most influential factor in predicting a child’s oxytocin levels? Their attachment scores to their parents. Our humanity as we imagine it is a fragile elevation above feral. It is maintained by active intervention. Today we pretend it’s a fate. It’s not. We are seeing the consequences of that. What conditions are associated with low KCC2 (and thus immature GABA)? We know at least:

• ADHD.

• Autism.

• Seizures.

• Schizophrenia.

• Stress reactivity.

• Sensory sensitivity.

The seizure is interesting (particularly as someone who has experienced them). The by-products actually ramp up KCC2. So we can say a seizure is like a kill switch on neural excitability. Personally, I’ve slept upwards of 20 hours after one.

Over to Monday Meditation. This week we started with a reminder of the relationship between sex hormones and stress. That is, the more stressed you are, the less fertile you will be and the more terrible you will feel. Not rocket science, but again, our culture today refuses to target them despite their decades-long decline that Dr Shana Swan calls ‘Countdown’ because projecting trends into the future will mean we can’t reproduce. Fun. Then we carried out our regular Aum breathing and meditation.

Lastly, our country rankings. The Aussies retain top spot, Poms in next, and Germany in third as a country, but the Deutsch have seemingly been overtaken by the culmination of all other countries. So to all new entrants, welcome. I hope the material serves you well.

Hope you are keeping well. Can’t believe that’s all we’ll get to see of Mbappe this World Cup, but Spain definitely were the better side on the night. Looking forward to tonight’s match.

Let’s begin with our most shared media pieces from the last 7 days, excerpts from the newly launched program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. The most shared in the last week was actually yesterday’s video, which explored the autoimmune hypothesis of a subset of autism patients. Anti-HSP60, anti-HSP70 and anti-HSP90 (along with anti-gliadin antibodies that we will talk about another time) were uncovered in children with autism. Which is fascinating because we may be handed some more paint on the palette for why sauna (4 x increase in heat shock proteins that remain elevated for 48 hours) has been found to be so beneficial for those diagnosed with autism, and why parents often report an alleviation of autism symptoms in children experiencing fever. These heatshock proteins (not the attacking antibodies) are associated with, at the very least, clearing chloride and ramping up the endogenous opioid system. Why is that helpful? Because GABA, our primary inhibitory neurotransmitter, turns excitatory with excessive chloride. A pathway sufficient to induce autism on its own. We feel this as sensory sensitivity, and this has been explored as a stepping stone to later chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, which is over-represented in those diagnosed with autism (again, why ‘diversity’ lobby groups are carrying out cultural abuse). The second part, the endogenous opioid system, we have explored countless times, so let’s simply remind ourselves that it is (1) our scorecard for social attachment, (2) its expression is inversely associated with autism symptom severity.

   

2. The second-most-shared video related to blood flow in the brain in those diagnosed with autism and/or ADHD. People diagnosed with ADHD have poor blood flow in the frontal region. A region associated, of course, with top-down control. People with autism have poor blood flow in the temporal region. A region associated with interpreting other people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour. How important are these blood flow variations? Very, it’s correlated with symptom severity for both conditions. What does this blood flow represent? Not only energy expenditure, but also the very evolution of the brain. I know it doesn’t sound pleasant when I say ‘we are turning around and heading back up the tree,’ but if we don’t place our backs up against the wall from time to time, we are not motivated to carry out our rescue, rescue for our loved ones, and appropriate care for our patients. When we don’t, we become complicit in human suffering, which cascades down generations. It’s believed we had a sixfold increase in blood flow to the brain over the last three million years, which led to our separation from other hominins and to modern humans having twice the brain energy consumption of non-human primates. What can we do to steady the ship? Well, one rescue that may also be implicated in the disorganisation is breathing. Sure, our heart pumps our blood, but guess what? If you practice slow and/or abdominal breathing, the suction effect can raise respiratory contributions to brain blood flow to be on par with the heart. Remember, one of the three ingredients that predicts ADHD with 85% accuracy is dysregulated breathing.

   

3. The third most shared video touched on the brain as well, this time our cultural practice of reading, and the consequences of down-prioritising it. Illiteracy has long been associated with lower brain volumes, so finding out that adolescents who read 12 hours per week have larger brains shouldn’t surprise us. However, what is interesting is the spider web complications of the choice to, or not to, read. Reading, particularly fiction, is emotional training. It builds emotional literacy, which is positively associated with emotional regulation. Then we look to see where we might be carrying out that regulation and find that the accuracy with which a mother can identify the emotional state of her child is positively associated with that child’s oxytocin levels (levels inversely associated with ADHD, anxiety and depressive symptoms). Of course, they are. We find similar connections from a million different doorways. If our emotional needs are not met, our body assumes we are abandoned, even in the presence of others. What does that default to? Low self-esteem. ‘My non-negotiable needs were invisible; therefore, I must not be worthy enough to be seen.’ Untrue, of course, but that doesn’t stop the body from running that script until we change it.

   

On to our meditation monday for the week. The session involved a short chat covering the relationship between the GABA switch (inhibitory-excitatory) and sensory sensitivity, then we carried out some Aum breathing and explored what state we find on the other side of that.

For an update on work in progress (program 3), we can look at plasticity genes. Why do we do that? Because they once again take the ‘diversity’ crowd out the backyard and hose them down with ice-cold water. Yes, for example, possessing the DRD4 7-repeat allele means you’ll have a 45% higher risk of being diagnosed with ADHD, but we can not stop ourselves from asking why, and when we do, the results are quite surprising.

Possessing this allele actually is protective at baseline, and then it switches after exposure to adversity. What’s an example? Prenatal smoking. If you were not exposed to prenatal smoking and you possessed this allele, you actually have a lower chance of being diagnosed with ADHD. If you were exposed to prenatal smoking with this risk allele, then it swaps. We can substitute ‘prenatal smoking’ with about 7 different adversity loads that we will explore in detail in due course. The important observation is that the genetic fate argument is a poverty of perspective and kneecaps us from reaching our highest expression.

It’s been a few weeks since a wrap-up. Let’s check out the top three shared pieces of media in that time, excerpts from the newly launched program 2 in the Somatic Academy: ‘What if Love Was Your Highest Expression? Why Separation Is the Root of Our Suffering and How the Body Can Save Us:

1. The third most-shared video covered an interesting study in which only three metrics could predict whether a bodily vessel in a sample had ADHD or not. What were they? Skin conductance, heart rate variability and breathing rates. Funnily enough, we could almost say one, because breathing rates feed into skin conductance and HRV. ADHD is not a healthy variation, ADHD is not a form of diversity, ADHD is not a problem for everyone else but ourselves to solve (inclusion culture). ADHD is disorganisation that can be brought about from pesticide exposure, prenatal stress, and parental lifetime unresolved trauma. Which again, we could just say one, take….the….body…to…safety.

   

2. The second most-shared video featured a longitudinal study from Sweden, in which the strongest predictor of a future autism diagnosis was infant omega-3 levels. Where does a child get their omega-3 levels from? Their mother. The oven to the bun. Why are mum’s omega-3 levels lower? Depends. It could be due to diet, but it also could be due to unresolved trauma, where the chart of omega-3 in a body with PTSD looks like the chart of an infant’s omega-3 levels that increase the probability of autism. How is this carried out if this is all rather new information to us? One pathway is neuroinflammation and its role in impairing neural pruning (which, while very important in early life, continues throughout our entire life). Again, this time for the other side of the continuum: Autism is not diversity; it is a deficit.

   

3. The most-shared video involved a study with quite surprising results. Researchers wanted to see if Lactobacillus supplementation might help reduce the incidence of eczema, but when they conducted their follow-up, they appeared to have solved ADHD/ASD (at least for this sample) instead. Not one of the kids who received Lactobacillus gained a diagnosis. Where is Lactobacillus found? Raw milk. What was consumed by your great-grandparents to the first person who tested out the produce of another species? Raw milk. In Australia, it’s illegal. In Germany, it’s not, and I had a glass this morning. Has it been tested as a rescue in the research environment? Yes. Seeing up to a 1/5 drop in autism symptoms in a matter of weeks. Do we have to consume raw milk (if it is legal in our country)? No. Do we have to recognise that not doing so is a deduction from the benefit column of our gut microbiome stability? Yes. This is a mature, allostatic load approach to our well-being. My great-grandparents worked outside, and did not have a vitamin-D deficit. My great-grandparents ate organic food and did not have intestinal permeability from inorganic food. My great-grandparents drank raw milk that beefed up Lactobacillus abundance, and were, on average, far less likely to exhibit ADHD or autism like behaviour.

   

So let’s take a check in here. Which is what program 2 is designed to do. Program 1 mapped our nervous system as it tried to save us, with predictable responses to rising/persistent adversity. Program 2 says (A) how do we come back down, but importantly (B) what dirty water am I currently swimming in that is preventing me from doing so?

If I currently believe in neurodiversity affirming care.

If I currently expect to replace cognitive cassette tapes, regardless of the state of a bodily vessel.

If I currently dispense magic beans to a bodily vessel, self-identifying with a mental health diagnosis, that struggles to accept a cognitive cassette tape change.

I am adhering to a worldview.

A worldview that believes it is ‘fair’ to place concrete boots on children who have rampant inflammation in their bodies, positively associated with symptom severity.

A worldview that believes it is ‘rational’ to expect bodies high up on the defense cascade to be conducive to the supplementation of disempowering beliefs with empowering beliefs, and reappraisal of the catalogue of bad outcomes, when the body is, due to non-safety, designed to absolutely not do that, for our safety, during this time of non-safety.

A worldview that believes that ‘care’ looks like lifetime subscribers to magic beans that atrophy our brains, detoriate our bones and induce testicular hypofunction.

But guess what, that’s ok. Because once we realise it is a worldview based on irrational beliefs that produces behaviour with really bad consequences, we simply dislodge it. But we also commit to understanding our own propensity not to admit we are drowning without sight of a rescue helicopter, so recognising the worldview is likely to naturally arise only when an alternative is placed in front of us.

Then it all becomes a beautiful game of pursuing our highest expression: love.

What does that look like in the body? Self-other blur.

What is the prerequisite for that? Low personal distress scores.

We swap ‘rights’ of ‘inclusion’, ‘fairness’, ‘diversity’ for responsibility. Both as a patient and as a practitioner.

We radically investigate the bodily vessel, remove as many ‘loads’ as possible, and set up as many supportive structures as possible, as we turn off the survival responses and see who we might meet in a state of downregulation. What type of abundance, acceptance and even attachment do we find, once we become sovereign again over our bodily vessel?
